Filter Cartridge Analyzers

Filter cartridges serve as the workhorses of any industrial filtration units. Almost all industries use filter cartridges. It is therefore important to know the pore structure characteristics of the complete cartridge rather than the pore structure characteristics of just a small sample of the filtration medium used in the construction of the cartridge. The PMI Complete Filter Cartridge Analyzer can determine the pore size distributions of complete cartridges.

Bubble Point Testers

A number of applications, particularly those involving filtration, require measurement of the bubble point pore diameter. The mean flow pore diameter, the pore distribution, and gas permeability are not important for these applications.

The bubble point tester is a capillary flow porometer, in which the capability to measure differential pressure and gas flow rate after detection of the bubble point has been eliminated. The bubble point measurement of a large volume of samples is often required. For such applications, the bubble point tester with multiple test heads is appropriate.

Other Custom Porometers

Multiport Bubblepoint tester An eight test head multipoint simultaneous pore structure analyzer is shown to the left. With its eight test-heads, the instrument is capable of testing at eight locations in a row simultaneously. The tests include bubble point and liquid permeability. As the material advances, the instrument continues to perform the tests at the specified locations along the length.
Humidity testing porometer This porometer is designed to test samples with air at specified humidity. The porometers are capable of maintaining the temperature constant at the desired temperature and capable of producing and maintaining humidity at the desired level. Tests can be performed over a wide range of humidity.
