The Powder Metallurgy Industry
PMI provides the powder metallurgy industry with testing equipment and analytical services for a variety of applications. We commonly test sintered metals for permeability using instruments in the PMI Porometer line, supplemented with instruments from other product lines.
PMI also tests the powder precursors of sintered metal products for surface area with instruments from the PMI BET Sorptometer and ESA product lines. Average particle sizes and surface areas of powder can be measured by a number of PMI instruments.
